Boom! Did you hear that? Boom! Is that fireworks? Boom! No, its a huge drum.
Steve is the founder of the Megumi Initiative. Last year he came to Tokyo to begin working with Yoshito and his church planting efforts in Fuchu. This summer he was invited to share about his work with Sekai Creator at a TED talk. I’m thankful for men like him and excited to serve Christ’s church in Tokyo alongside him.
It’s been a little over a week since we returned from Japan. Looking back i’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to lead these men around Tokyo. Everyone left with a wealth of information, souvenirs, and eagerness to share with their networks the need for church planting in Japan. The next step is to get the word out and start shifting resources and sending missionaries to Japan. There’s a great mission ahead, would you join us in praying for God to accomplish this mission through his Church.
Today I took our group together with Yoshito on a hike in the mountains of west Tokyo where I used to live. Though Tokyo prefecture is home to the largest city in the world, it is not without a touch of beauty.
I’ve flown to Japan quite a few times and yet this flight was the roughest I can remember. I endured a sinus headache and sleep depravity over the course of the flight and arrived in Tokyo exhausted. Yet, God was gracious to us and we all arrived safely and on time.
