Pray For Japan: Tokyo

Tokyo city lies in the eastern part of Tokyo prefecture and is divided into 23 densely populated wards. The rest of Tokyo expands westwardly along the Tama river. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and is one of the largest cites in the world. Tokyo is also the political, economical and cultural center of Japan. Tokyo is also home to nearly 30 million people, of which only a tiny fraction are Christian.

There are roughly 1000 churches in Tokyo with an average attendance of 581. The need for churches to be on mission is overwhelming.  The need for leaders to be trained up and lead these churches is desperate. The need to see more churches planted in Tokyo in immense. This summer a team from Karis Church will travel to Tokyo to see these needs up close and in person.

This week we ask that you pray for Tokyo.

  • Pray that revival would take root in Tokyo
  • Pray for church leaders to lead their churches well and to raise up new leaders.
  • Pray for more churches to be planted throughout Tokyo
  • Pray that Tokyo would become a gospel light to the rest of Japan and the world.

Would you also consider giving towards our trip this summer?
