Free For All

While in Mississippi, we had the opportunity to take part in an event hosted by Logos Community Church. Meridian, the city where Logos is located, has about 30% of its populationliving below the poverty line. One way that the church is trying to show love to the community and build relationships is through what they call a Free For All. The FFA basically is a yard sale where everything is free. As the people come they are simply asked to fill out a card with some basic information and then they are given a bag to fill up with free stuff. Also during the event, free food and drinks were given out to everyone. It was really neat to see some of the creative ways that the church  is trying to be on mission for their city and community.
